2 year appointment

The doctor said Gabi is happy, healthy and "as sharp as a whip". She had 2 shots today and was such a good girl. Here are her stats: Head = 18 inches (10th percentile), Height = 34.25 inches (63rd percentile), Weight = 22.5 pounds (5th percentile). She's still a skinny little thing but the doctor assured us there's nothing to worry about. Hip Hip Hooray!

Birthday lunch with mom

I took Gabi to 2 Toots today for a birthday celebration. She wouldn't take off her ballet outfit from this morning so she celebrated with her leotard, tutu and slippers on :) We had a great time together. Of course she loved the food, trains and cupcakes. She's a fun little girl to hang out with now. Happy Birthday Gabi!

Ballet class

Gabi had her first ballet class today, Tiny Toes. She was a little unsure and wanted me to stay in the room with her. It was the most adorable thing I ever saw though..all the little girls in leotards...she was precious!

Birthday party

Gabi got all dressed up like a little princess to celebrate her 2nd birthday. She had a wonderful day filled with family, cake, tutus, and presents! Thanks to everyone that made her day so special. We love you!

Go Cubs Go!

We took Gabi to the Cubs game for Day 1 of her birthday celebration. Bill and I were expecting maybe 2 innings out of her but she surprised us and made it through the entire game! We all had a wonderful time (even though the Cubs lost).
(hot pretzel (aka telephone) and beer dipped paci were a big hit too)

Labor Day Weekend

Gabi woke up this morning to a surprise visit from Nonni and Poppi. Right when you think things couldn't get better we...went out to breakfast, went to a carnival where Gabi went on a pony ride, a train ride (where Gabi started to fall asleep), a HUGE slide and won some prices, then went fishing at the lake!!!! What a wonderful day. I think someone will sleep well tonight :) Thank you Mom and Dad!

Cousins

Gabi and I drove into the city today to visit with Steph and Joie. We had a wonderful day together. We're going to miss them. The second we drove into their parking garage Gabi said "oh, baby!". She must remember where Joie lives. She couldn't stop loving her...kisses, hugs, etc. They will be great friends some day (or maybe just partners in crime :) ).
