Well it didn't take long for Gabi to fall in love with the beach. She's such a little daredevil cruising around in the sand and diving into the waves. She even enjoyed drying off in my chair :)
I was so excited to share the beach with Gabi. She loved the sand (ate some too) but wasn't sure about the waves. I think she could become a beach bum someday.
Gabi took her first bike ride in the cart while daddy rode to the beach. We found out that bike rides make her VERY sleepy. She wasn't able to enjoy the beach because we couldn't wake her up!
After a short delay we were on our way to Kiawah. Gabi was a wonderful traveler. There were a lot of kids on the plane and of course she was the best behaved :) She didn't sleep much but enjoyed eating and looking out the window on daddy's lap.
Gabi is healthy and happy after her 9 month appointment. We weighed in at 18 pounds 3 ounces (40th percentile). She's 28.75 inches long (90th percentile) and her head is still small...(25th percentile). No vaccines this time..woot! So she left without tears.
As if crawling wasn't enough, Gabi now is determined to stand up. She's hasn't mastered sitting back down but hopefully that will come soon. I have a feeling she'll be walking soon and scaring her mother to death :)
We had a fun weekend in Indy celebrating Grandma's birthday and seeing all of the Parke and Camden clan. Gabi thoroughly enjoyed playing with her cousin Lindsey and she tried to kiss or maybe eat John David :)
Bill's first official Father's Day was a fun celebration. Happy Father's Day to you Dad/Poppi. Glad we could celebrate together. Happy Father's Day to Bob too...look forward to celebrating with you next weekend!
We took a walk downtown this afternoon and Gabi was smiling and giggling the entire time on her daddy's shoulders. All of a sudden she got quiet and we discovered the fresh air put her to sleep.
Gabi's been mobile...getting from point A to B but now she's officially mastered crawling! She's so proud of herself. She also loves to pull herself up to standing position...I'm terrified but she's ready to take off :)
