A holly jolly Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas celebration. Seeing the excitement (family, presents, food, etc.) through Gabi's eyes made this Christmas so special for me. She a blast all day long! We started the day with Santa arriving for breakfast! We all loved the outfit but Gabi was terrified of Tom while he was in it :)

Molars

All 4 molars have finally made an appearance! Phew...they've been bugging Gabi for over a month now. I think we'll all enjoy a good night sleep!

Parke family Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas celebration with the Parke's. Gabi really enjoyed unwrapping everyone's gifts!
Gabi's grandma and great grandma lured her with cookies...she certainly enjoyed all of the attention.
I had to include the picture of David in his new weed wacking goggles...too cute!

Running already

The pediatrician warned me that it was bound to happen very soon but I have to admit I still wasn't ready. Gabi has been a speedy walker but today I witnessed her running down the hall! I mean really running!!! What can I say, there's no stopping her :)

15 month appointment

Gabi was a trooper at her appointment today. She didn't even cry for her shots! Woot! Well, here are her stats...20 pounds (10th percentile) 31.5 inches tall (76th percentile) and her head is finally growing...17 3/4 inches (27th percentile) :) She's happy and healthy. And I guess she's also an advanced talker...our little chatty Kathy.

Ladies lunch out

We had a fun visit with my sisters before the holidays. We finished up Christmas shopping and enjoyed some time together. Gabi thoroughly enjoyed her entourage :)

Happy St. Nicholas Day

We woke up to fresh snow on the ground and stockings full of fun little presents. I think everyone enjoyed their gifts from St. Nick! Tucker even let Gabi take a picture with him :)

Christmas present

The Parkes are here visiting this weekend. They brought Gabi her Christmas present early so they could watch her play with it. I think it was a hit!

Thanksgiving

No more crawling

Gabi has been walking here and there for the last couple of weeks but today she is solely walking. I guess the crawling days are behind us. I'll have to post a video. She's fast!

Pre-Thanksgiving Party

Gabi, Bill and I went downtown yesterday afternoon for the annual Pre-Thanksgiving party that Alyssa, Scott and Chance hosted. We had a great time seeing everyone. Gabi might have had a little too much fun :)

Happy Halloween

What a perfect night for trick or treating! We had a fun time socializing with our neighbors and passing out candy. Gabi found the candy bowl and thoroughly enjoyed going through it (think she has her mom's sweet tooth). :) We also got a cute picture of Gabi and her two favorite friends (Sophia and Katie).

Halloween party at music class

Gabi's music teacher threw a fun Halloween celebration for class this week. Here's a picture our a little monkey playing (or maybe eating) an instrument during class and one of the teacher and a few of her classmates.

Playgroup Halloween party

Gabi got to get all dressed up again this morning for playgroup. The kids looked adorable in costume. Johnny couldn't stop messing with Gabi's tail :)

Visit to the city

Today we got to meet Anne and Dan's little boy John Mac Summa! He is absolutely precious! While we were in the city we also got to enjoy lunch with Steph, Tom, Lyssa and Scott at our old stomping grounds (Goose Island). It was nice to see everyone...we should do it more often.

Trick or treating in downtown GE

Gabi enjoyed her first time trick or treating. All of the stores downtown gave out candy which Nonni, Poppi, Bill and I enjoyed :) Isn't she the cutest little monkey?!

Trip to the zoo

Christine and I took our girls to Cosley zoo this morning. It was a fun trip on a beautiful fall day.
We attempted to get them all in one picture...we came close :)

Wagon ride

We put the new wagon together this morning and took Gabi out for a walk around town. It was a fun ride...thank you Grandma and Grandpa Parke!

Brusha brusha brusha

Gabi was told to start brushing her 8 toofers...so we tried it out. At first she was very skeptical of the situation but she has yet to relinquish the toothbrush.

12 month appointment

Gabi is happy and healthy! She hardly even cried at her appointment...such a big girl. She is now 19.9 lbs. (25th percentile), 30.5 inches tall (90th percentile), and her head is 17.25 inches (16th percentile). So still tall, thin, with a little head :) And the doctor said we certainly don't need to worry about her talking/communication :) She hardly let the poor guy speak!

Happy Birthday Gabi

Despite the weather we had a wonderful 1st birthday celebration. Thank you to everyone for coming to celebrate with us and for all of your wonderful presents! It has been a great year...looking forward to a new year full of fun :)

We had a fun visit with Chris, Lori and Jonathan. Both of the dads dressed their kids up in Cubs gear :) I can hardly remember Gabi being that small and still!

Swinging with Poppi

We went out to CL to visit Nonni and Poppi and for Gabi to try out her new swing Poppi bought her. It was a hit.

Sushi

Lyssa, Gabi and I went out for sushi...something I haven't found in Glen Ellyn yet. Thankfully we were the only people in the restaurant because Gabi got a little too interested in the sushi...she put her foot right up on the table and spread it around in the unagi sauce! Lyssa and I couldn't stop laughing. Gross but funny!
